Description:
Baylor University seeks to fill a tenure-track faculty position within the College of Arts & Sciences at the Assistant Professor level effective Fall 2025. We are searching for a collaborative faculty member with research experience in Materials Growth, as part of a multi-year Materials Science Cluster initiative.

We are particularly interested in candidates with complementary capabilities to synthesize and grow condensed phases of bulk to low dimensional materials at all length-scales. The current focus is semiconductors and quantum technology, with an emphasis on developing experimental and computational research capabilities that will be adaptable to future research endeavors.

This position will be located in either the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry or the Department of Physics, depending on suitability and interest.

Qualifications:
Successful candidates should possess an earned doctorate with post-doctoral experience preferred, have a sustained record of research accomplishment, and have evidence of the potential to generate extramural funding commensurate with their career stage. Applicants should be interested in teaching undergraduate and graduate students, providing research mentorship, developing and maintaining an externally-funded research program, and contributing to our doctoral programs.
