Major/Essential Functions
Responsibilities:
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in construction engineering, with a focus on imparting practical knowledge and industry insights.
  • Mentor and advise students, providing guidance on academic and career development.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners to facilitate experiential learning opportunities for students.
  • Engage in scholarly activities and professional development to stay abreast of industry trends and best practices.
  • Contribute to the academic and administrative functions of the department and institution.




Required Qualifications
  • Master's degree in construction engineering or a closely related field (e.g. Civil Engineering, Construction Technology).
  • Extensive industry experience in construction engineering or a closely related field, with a proven track record of professional achievement (at least 5 years).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, colleagues, and industry partners.
  • Candidates must hold at least a master's degree in construction engineering or civil engineering or any other related fields of engineering at the time of appointment and have at least five years of industrial experience, particularly in the field of construction engineering. In addition to the required qualifications, individuals with professional engineering license are highly encouraged to apply.


Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional Engineering licensure
  • Other related certifications including PMP, CCM, CPC, DBIA, etc.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching and mentoring, preferably at the undergraduate level.
  • PhD in construction engineering or a closely related field (e.g. Civil Engineering, Construction Technology).
